well, I am more talking about important in a positive way so no back on track.

Can't let go  so this is an extremely important level. Why? Because it is the level that usually decides if the player will play and like the game. Not only is it a huge difficulty spike, it shows that this game isn't easy and that it is not for the weak :P

clubstep: first actually insane level in the game. Still one of the hardest. It will test your skills and kinda proves if a player is decent or not.

The nightmare: basically makes bad players feel good about themselves. If you haven't beaten this, you haven't played the game fully.

And Nine Circles, which is an "easy" demon (it's hard at first, but it slowly turns into an easy demon after you learn it). It is a good level for players wanting to get into the hard demon levels but want to start somewhere easy.

Probably stereo madness or back on track. They are the first levels, and without them everyone would give up on polargeist.

Not what I mentioned by important levels. The 1st levels of a game are always important but that was too obvious

Would I be classified as a bad player with over 3k attempts of clubstep XD I ****ing hate mini ship parts...

Also I think electrodynamix because it introduces people to speed boosters

Ulimate Destruction was the most important as the first level.
SM was important for introducing new players to the game, and to be different from The Impossible Game by the flying mode.
Other levels are pretty much so-so.
Except for The Nightmare and The Lightning Road, of course :3

1.) It depends on your skill now; Clubstep took me 5393 attempts (with 216 fails past 80) but I either break or get close to Zobros' attempts on demons all the time now xD

2.) In that sense, every level's important:
-Stereo Madness introduces you to the game
-Back on Track introduces you to

Cyrillic's impossible levels

jump pads
-Polargeist introduces you to jump rings
-Dry Out introduces you to upside down parts
-Base After Base is a filler level ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-Can't Let Go introduces you to harder levels
-Jumper is also an easy filler level lol
-Time Machine introduces you to Michigun I mean triple spikes I mean mirror portals
-Cycles introduces you to the ball
-xStep is yet another filler level 8)
-Clutterfunk introduces you to a new difficulty of levels and the mini ball (was it used before...?)
-Theory of Everything introduces you to the UFO
-Electroman Adventures introduces you to megaman9
-Clubstep introduces you to demons
-Electrodynamix introduces you to faster speeds
-Hexagon Force introduces you to duals
-Blast Processing introduces you to the wave
-Theory of Everything 2 introduces you into thinking you're a badass for beating an easy demon; Toxin Lab II and Ultra Paracosm will do the same 8)
-Geometrical Dominator introduces you to a good GD song I mean the robot
-Deadlocked introduces you to TAPTAPTAPTAPTAP

In terms of Custom Levels:

Nine Circles: (this should be obvious)
Cataclysm: (made a lot of previously unknown people like Cyclic famous. Also made people aware of speedh4x)
Lucid Dream: Started the Effects style
Abyss: Like Lucid Dream but for 2.0.

Actually Base After Base is the first to use black background and xStep introduces more visual effects like the little Rhombus deco clouds and background flashes, still useless either way xP

Base after Base shows you that you don't need Ultimate Destruction (even though UD is a better song >.<)

^ Quality post right there ^
